Australia is "open-minded" towards formally recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel said the PM Scott Morrison. A parliamentary by-election in a Sydney district is near and Morrison only has one seat majority. The district has a significant Jewish electorate and the candidate for the Liberal party, a former ambassador to Israel, is trailing in opinion polls.
