India’s Covid-19 daily tally touched another new high on Thursday, with fresh infections topping 83,000 for the second consecutive day. The day’s death toll of 1,088 was the second highest after 1,099 fatalities reported on August 18. Meanwhile, overall recoveries from the infection crossed the 30 lakh milestone.
